Steve Carbone............
Many old time drag racing fans will remember the story of the 1971 U.S. Nationals Top Fuel final, in which Don Garlits was beaten by Steve Carbone, by a staging wait out on the starting line. One of drag racings immortal stories.
Well, Steve Carbone passed away, after suffering an aneurysm 2 weeks ago.....He will be missed. http://www.nhra.com/apcm/templates/n...=9600&zoneid=8

Thanx for the news. Very sad to lose another legend. K.S. Pittman, Willys gasser legend, has advanced Alzheimer's and is in seclusion. Getting old is a bummer.
