Yeah, an inspiration at least. I have seen him start to show up in some under classes for the last 3-4 years but man was I surprised to see him at Daytona. It took him a long time to be cleared by Nascar to compete in the upper classes. I spoke with some folks who claim to "know" him on a personal basis shortly after the accident and said he would never drive again.
What a comeback !
