Stewart Warner sending unit for water temp

I got a Stewart Warner 100-240 water temp gauge. The dumb thing came with no sender which sort of surprised me. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a standard parts store sending unit that would work? This is for a Chevy 350 by the way. I'm not real keen on spending $20 plus shipping for the SW sender, or waiting for it to ship.

I would think that a lot of senders might work...whether they would be accurate or not is another question. Spring for the SW
