Should be behind the air cleaner on the firewall. There may be others too. Fusible links can look like wire so visually seeing them can be hard. The best thing to do is get a test light and start checking for power.

Found a burnt up wire tht goes to starter. Im guessing this powers the ignition. Does anybody know where the ignition wire from starter hooks into the ignition switch?

Not understanding your question, one end goes to the starter and the other goes to the firewall connector then to the netural safety switch then to the ing switch. Should be purple in color.

It may also be the rack and rod in the steering column. The physical ignition switch is mounted on the top of the column, and the rack and rod connects it to the electrical switch on the lower part of the column. If the rack breaks it usually happens gradually, so some ignition positions may work and others may not.

You can usually look at the outside of the column and see the rod that activates the electrical switch. Just turn the ignition switch back and forth and you should see the rod move along with the physical switch.
