stock 350, 50 chevy truck, crane energizer 274

I'm swappng an s-10 frame under my 1950 chevy truck. The s-10 has a bone stock 350 and I have a crane energizer 274 H06 that I want to put in it it for a nice rough idle. I'm wanting this to be a street truck, not a truck to haul anything. The trans is a TH350 and the rear end is currently just the stock one in the s-10. I've read that the 4x4 s-10 diff is the one to drop in the truck...I have not researched the gears in that yet. I guess what I'm looking for is some suggestions on stall converter and required rear end gears. Lastly, if I have not made it obvious in my ramblings above, I'm a newbie and have lots to learn, so I'm open to constructive critisim, suggestions, etc.

A cam that size will like the following:
9 to 9.5:1 cr
3.55 gears with 26 inch tall tires
2400 stall
headers
18 degrees of initial timing, 38 total mechanical, plus 10 more from the vacuum advance.
