Post Stock crate 350 (Cam Questions)

I have a new gm 350 with the simple upgrades. headers, flows, performer intake and KN 14 inch with the extreme kn top filter. My engine runs great and very strong for a stock motor. But I would like a cam to give it more power. I am trying to find out what cam would give me the most performance but still keep the stock heads because i cant afford new ones. Any help would be greatly aprciated.

Since they are so many cams to choose, from so many manufactures its best to go to their website and see their online catalogs for yourself. and the more knowledge and information u recieve. the better your cam selection will be. also remember what kind of trans are u using and your gear ratio is also important. Unless its all stock. Your best bet it compcams, crane or crower. If your budget allows. If your low on money u can get a cam from summit for about $80.00 and that includes your lifters. Just call them and tell them what u are planning to do.

I've got the same goodwrench 350 in my Monte. I did all the bolt on stuff same like you did then i got an Edelbrock performer cam PN. 2102 to match my intake and carb. They all work together pretty well. I've also heard good things about the Crane power max cams for mild small blocks.

Depends really on your rear gear and what ya wanna do with the car. Your crate motor has very low compression like 7.8:1-8.1:1.With a 3.42-3.73 gear for daily driven performence go with like a Crane Powermax 216/228@050 454/480 lift cam. This is assuming you have an automatic tranny(if you have a 700r4 you could get away with less gear like 3.23).Should put you like 300hp/
