Post Stock Cylinder Heads

I have a question for all you HotRod freaks like me. I have a 1980 350 SBC motor with stock heads, a Weiand Aluminum Intake and a 600cfm Edelbrock Carb. I recently changed the cam to a Comp. 4x4 Xtreme Cam with a 250/258 duration and a .432/.453 lift and new Comp. Cams Valve Springs to match with a .500 lift max. Also new pushrods were installed. With the stock heads I was think of installing a .015 thickness steel shim head gasket to raise compression some and maybe mill the heads some too. Do you think that is a good thing to do to help raise compression? I think it has around 8.3 compression now, but not sure. Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!

I'm going to run .015 head gaskets and my heads are resurfaced to .010.I calculated 8.6:1 w/ 76cc heads,12cc pistons,025 deck hieght.Prett much your cam don't really need much more compression than you allready have, you might gain a couple lb/ft of torque and 1 or 2 clydesdales.I'd stick the gasket in and forget the milling unless they need it.
