Storing my fuel tank

Hi team

I have taken the factory fuel tank out of my car. How do I store this long term so it doesn't rust inside. There is a lot of condensation in my garage. This might be in storeage for a copuple of years.

thanks

storage of fuel tank..

Hi,i have only stored motorcycle tanks, but,i drain them good, and leave the cap off (in the sun) until all fuel smell is gone and tank is dry, then i take some 40 wt motor oil,and roll the tank until its coated good, drain excess oil,and store tank with THE CAP OFF... hope this helps. check occasionally, add more oil as necessary.very important to leave gas cap off.
