STRANGE or MOSER for street

I may end up putting bigger tires on this brute to try and hook up. Is there a general preferance between the axle companies for street? Moser is about 2/3 the price of the others

You might look here http://www.dutchmanaxles.com/ and compare with the others. I've had great luck with Moser and the Dutchman stuff.

Same here, I have used Moser and Dutchman, only thing I have ever used from Strange is Ring & pinion and c-clip eliminators. Don't know if Strange is good or bad for axles but they have been around a while, must be decent. Mark Williams is another I have not used either.

Moser is close to me and has a good warrantee on their stuff.

The last set of axles I had shortened by Moser one came back wrong and they wanted me to pay shipping for them to fix it. Since the old man died the company isn't what it used to be especially in the quality department.

Oh great. So ya get a good warranty but because the qualities down I drown financially cause of shipping charges back and forth at the border. My canuk supplier wants 500 a set for dutchman as opposed to 295 from moser. The 295 is still cheaper after I've paid shipping and duty but if I got to pay shipping and duty over and over then I guess its the 495 touch for ol Doug

I've been selling Moser stuff for about 13 years and very few of my customers have had any problems with their parts. I had one Camaro housing come in with the wrong spring perches and that's all that I can remember. As far as I can recall Moser paid to ship it back and fix the problem. I have had very limited experience with Strange. I narrowed a Strange housing once that someone ordered the wrong width, but that wasn't Strange's fault.

Almost same problem. Ordered custom axles, they cut one too long; had to fight over shipping. I will not do bus. with them. Strange is worth the additional cost.

You can buy direct from Dutchman. I'm not up on shipping to Canada but you buy direct from them cheaper than 500 for the set.

I have had very good luck with Moser. If you don't order it right, it won't be right. My experience with Moser is a good one, no complaints.

My axle did this (pic) a couple Saturdays back. I went to the Moser site and looked up the axle. Decided, cuz I like to know to check the measurement. Turns out I could not find the spline count and axle length that came out of the rear.

The following Monday I gave them a call, ordered what I needed . They said it would arrive that Friday . Friday night installed the axles and was driving the following morning ...

Moser is fine company to get parts from, their word is solid and make the promises happen .... Would recommend them to anyone interested . One other note to mention, usually a part manufacture will hose you on the extras. I will use bearings as the example, I found that was not the case with the Moser folks.

You will get what you pay for and the quality was excellent for this company .. Well done to them

Did I mention that they manufacture the parts right here, in what use to be good old USA .....

I forgot to mention that not only was one a little long (fixed it by grinding finally), but one of the axles had the wrong size retaining plate (Ford 9") which tells me they didn't even give me my original axles back. For some reason they didn't even bother to check to make sure the retaining plates were both the large size. Had to cut the small one off and use one of their retaining plate adapters just to get the thing installed. I would not recommend Moser to anyone. Curie or Strange but not Moser.
