Veto one, heck, SHE TOLD ME to buy the parts car. You just gotta love a woman like that. And in our case, she is my better half. Thing is though, she thinks it's her money

You know, though, I've been dead set on the engine/trans/rear gearing for years. The Landau top stays, but I still got no clue what color or paint scheme to run with. I know what I like on a ton of other cars, and when we were at Indy, we took around 120 some odd pics of what may work on the Monte for color choices. What I wouldn't give to be Chip Foose for a day. I bet I bent killerformula and helrazr3's ears to the point of breaking on what to do. Bottom line, like you said, "Well lets see It's Your ride, Your time and Your money." Drat....

I like Monte Carlos...........no matter what year model...they are great looking cars.
If I didn't think that, I sure wouldn't fret the details so much with mine. I've loved the flowing lines from the first one I saw, and would hate to detract from that, just accentuate the body, if you follow.

Thank guys, Chet.

Whats the name of the color on your monte chet? It looks pink in the photos. Looks like most of the original color has long since been bleatched out by the sun. Ohh and I like monte carlos just fine.

My original '78 (the one I plan of restoring and rodding) is gold. The one in the pics is my parts car. It's done in primer red, and the primer is really fading. It was sprayed over white. Rattle can primer over white just looks waayy worse than plain old white. IMO however, excluding the second of Rob's pics and the '70 to '72s, white really doesn't "flow" right over the body lines of a Monte. Maybe it's just me.

In a while, Chet.

I can't believe I missed this thread. oh well, I got it done.
Its not my best photoshop ever, but I think it'll do just fine. I love how this looks onthe monte. You'll get a big thumbs up from me if you paint it like this

I also included a sign, that with a car like this, you MUST have!
and BTW, for the record I like montes, just not the late model ones that look like bubbles.

Brad, I love it! But, the front bumper will be "fake chrome strip" delete. And painted to match the gold of the bottom half. Otherwise, love it! Thanks, man!

In a while, Chet.

BTW, I do burnouts without needing to see boobs.... Ask anybody that has been to both gatherings.

If I disappear after posting this, suspect foul play. Just have the cops track down whoever schnitz hired for the contract.

But but its just a nice incentive to do burnouts. Even though I burnout anyway, I might as well see something as well.
Its a win-win situation, the girls put on a show, then the car puts on a show
