street/strip s10 build HELP

I know I asked about my vortec build for my daily driver but I also have a s10 to play with that I am building... its a Chevy 350 with camel hump heads 2.02/1.60 valves spider intake. Pop up pistons ... I am searching for a good cam..... o and using 1.7 roller rockers

Kenny, there must be dozens of heads that are better than those old factory
production heads. Stock L31's will flow better. You don't want pop-up pistons, as they make it difficult for the flame kernel to move across the chamber and will generally require more octane than pump gas to quell detonation. You can't search for a cam until you have nailed down the static compression ratio, rear gears and torque converter. 1.7 rockers are for a stock BBC or very wild SBC for racing only. Stick with 1.5 rockers. I've no idea what you mean by spider intake, unless you're describing a single plane manifold designed to operate 3000-7000.

In my opinion, you need to do a lot of reading about how combinations work together before you pick up another wrench.

its all stock in the rear end just got a t350 and didt think about the popups so i cm trading for a set of flat tops..... thanks think i am going to go with a 262h cam
