Street- strip torque converter stall rating suggestions
what is a good trans to use for a 71 nova with a 10 sec engine in it a turbo 350 .turbo 400 or 700r4 i will have a trans brake in it and what stall converter it will also be drivin on the street

Honestly if you are planning to do some serious racing th400 would be a good canidate and as far as the stall convertor what cam are you running?

Well then again if you could run across a th350 that is marked 375B that would be even better because it can hold up to more torque it is a heavy duty th 350 transmisson but do not get confused with the thm 375 that is a light duty th400

dont know what cam is in the motor i dindt build it whats the cost of parts to build a trans

the engine is a 327 has dome pistons 64cc heads i will be running a 15 or 16 inch tire and a 4.11 gear in a ford 9in

i am running a th400 trans with full man valve body and no trans brake with a 4.11 gear and 15in tires and a 327 it is a street strip car mostly strip i will be using a line lock what stall converter should i go with

Depends on a lot of missing information. Weight of vehicle, cam size, compression,tire size,etc. I would recommend calling a few converter tech lines and asking the tech guys for their recommendations. They will have the knowledge to help you.

I merged your thread on transmission w/trans brake and converter questions into this thread since you are asking the same questions on the same car , same engine. Since you do not have any camshaft specs, it will be an educated guess on the stall speed converter to use. Call some converter companys and answer their questions the best you can
