I do need to straighten you out on one thing. There is little to no bias on this board against fiberglass bodied cars. The bias is against any company who floods the market with slick advertising and half truths in order to take advantage of novices. In other words we have no problem with 99.9% of glass body manufacturers. Its just the .1% of slimy shysters such as Streetbeast that we have a problem with. |

This board is primarily a steel bodied hot rod board that doesn't have much tolerance for the fiberglass cars. Jay K. Holy crap - my '31 has 'glass fenders and is mostly aftermarket parts - which means that people like Mikey and Centerline wont communicate with me 100% of the time, only that part which is made up of recycled parts is what they will discuss. Mikey - please tell me that you will still talk to me!!! OMIGOD - Centerline - your deuce!! It's ....gasp, gag, golly gee - FIBERGLASS !!!!!!! Dave W |

Hahahahhaahah They are all cars, some are better than others. Having worked on Gibbon, Outlaw, Speedway, Streetbeast, Redneck, PoliForm, Wescotts, Harwood, Minotti, as well as Brookville, and Rodbods steel replica bodied cars, gives me a pretty good understanding of what is good, better , and best. It's too bad that many of the aformentioned manufacturers have gone downhill or just out of business. Later, mikey

Deal w/this- I think the whole thing has been beat to death, some are for others against. Nothing new here, in regards to any of it, IMO.
I merely submitted some (what I thought was) levity into the thread, I see now that there's no place for levity in such a serious technical discussion , so I'll be on my way.Strange though, that a good-natured rib is cause for a mod's intervention- yet another poster can be rude/obnoxious with aplomb, w/o consequences. Mikey asked earlier to keep this on track.
How about we keep this civil here.........JGK95 is reporting his experiences. This thread was started so people can learn from SB customers. Let's stop with the silliness. Any further derogatory remarks will be edited and the member dealt with....last warning.

service from SB
So far, i have had quick answers to any question, service more than what i thought it would be. A steel car would be great, but the cost is way to high. Just build what you like. I am amazed that folks go out of their way to bash others projects, lots of time on their hands i guess.

Nothing but solid support from Streetbeasts. You call, they answer. Can a person reasonably ask for anything more from their vendor? |

Glass or not I 'd drive the snot outta this I just love the way is sits. SA, weeet. We are all here or supposed to be here for the same reason we love to play with cars old cars new cars that go bump fast cars slow cars clean cars dirty cars . SO If your a hard core ,brand loyal ,Google that brand & I am sure you can find a forum that loves that kind & that kind only. See the list in my Signature if you like. R

Do I like hotrods yes, do I prefer metal too glass yes, the old cars just have sole.. I like the fact that my cars are 75 +, can I spot a glass car best part of the time yes, and if the door is open can see it a mile away, Rob for sure has glass side curtains, could tell more standing next to it ..
The metal cars have very defined lines. curves and corners are tight, bent/formed metal .. glass can not duplicate that.. I am not knocking the glass crowd, but the metal guys cars are worth more, with a qualifier both built the same except for the body . What I read between the lines on this is that the basic question between egos is mine worth more then yours , as in engines mine is bigger I could go on but you are smart and get the point. When will we see a rat glass car? |
