Can someone post a list of the companies that are associated with Streetbeasts. I am really considering building a glass rod and I surely don't want to get tied up with Streetbeast or any company affiliated with them.

I've heard from other sources about the lousy product, lousy fit, slow delivery, and lack of ethics. Once I read other member's posts about their experiences with Streetbeast, I knew the others that I been talking to were telling me the truth and were a reliable source of information.

Jon,

I have been a member for a few years. I do not post much but I do read what is posted. Most of the time it is while deployed. I defend our rights at work and have chosen to defend them here as well. I did not include my user name but my user name and email are the same. I will continue to read post and as I can will donate more. You are getting the brunt of this deal.

Joe

Jon,

The auction for my Hemi Rockers is over. Funds have been transfered to the Free Speech Fund. I have at least one more item to get up on e-bay for the fund. Will list it next week.

Hey Jon;

I don't come on very often, but it's nice to know that there are young ones out there supporting the hot rod tradition. At 72 i'm not as active as I once was, ie: drags, bonneville, & sportycar racing, but still show my stuff with my ' 57 chevy 2-door post w/ 383 stroker, 400 r4 tranny, & 4.11 posi. People like Levin and their tactics need to be shown that the brotherhood is solid and doesn't take s__t from sleazebags. My check will be in the mail tomorrow. Keep fighting and god bless.

From what I can see, as well as what I have lived first hand is this: Fiberglass parts are not/cannot be manufactured to the same quality as steel. You need to accept that as a fact of life, no matter what company you get your body from.

NOW, for the rest of the story. This company seems to fail in two main areas, at least to me. One, they do not do what they promise. This really puts the customers in a bind. This makes angry customers. The broken promises are from either non-delivered parts (fraud) or slow deliveries (stupidity). Two, they do not accurately tell the prospective customer of the skill level needed to build the rod, the amount of parts not included, the deal with the unitized body or the lack of support they will receive.

So, going in, get a complete itemized list of the parts, get a list of the things you need not in the kit, do an honest evaluation of your skills, realize it can be a good car when done but don't kid yourself about future repairs, think about getting the body only from the glass builder and get everything else from other sources, set up a COD system, etc etc etc.

You can get a rolling chassis (or the parts), a body, power train and the finishing stuff all from different places and everything will fit together just fine.

You read the threads and talked to people, be realistic. A glass car can be way cool, but don't believe for one minute the BS the sales drones give you.

I think that was the single largest problem, the people buying the kits believed the lies the marketing department told them because they wanted to believe they could build the next Barrett Jackson dream car with a monkey wrench and a #2 phillips.

I don't get on this site as much as I used to, but you've given me and others so much here, that it's only right to help now when you need it. Paypal is being sent.
