Stress anyone?

I'm not too stressed out right now, but i think my wife has about had it. Her grandmother is down to her last days, we are closing on our new house on July 28th (less than 2 weeks away), and were moving into the new location for our business on July 31st. Then on tuesday August 2nd we are leaving for the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville. And on top of that we have 2 cars to finish the interiors in, a couple bike seats, and a couple of our seat orders to fill before the 28th. And on top of that, im the best man in a friends wedding this saturday. I wonder when were going to sleep these next couple of weeks.

Hows the summer treating the rest of you?

Ouch, sounds like you got a lot going on for you. I know the feeling, last month I had to work over 40 hours a week, plus summer school. If you don't know how summer school works for college, its an entire 16week semester crammed into less than 4 weeks! Just one class is bad enough but I had 2 of them and had to study to keep from falling behind in either of them. Because it was such an intense classes, you even fall behind a little bit, you will get you butt handed to you! Most of my days were wake up at 8am go to school til 2 go home and change clothes and go to work at 4 and dont get back til 11. Then on the weekends I would almost always work 12 hour shifts 2 or 3 days in a row.
Thank god Im done with that for now, now all I have is work. And that alone isn't that bad. But Im pretty much broke, and have to save up some money to pay off some debt I have and save up some since Im moving into my own apartment on aug 23. Then start school again in sept. Its not that bad, its just Im not doing summer school ever again!

Life is good

Of course being "older" I have DXed a lot of the stress in my life..When a fellow hits one of these deals just do not take on any more until the present is dealt with and done..I still have some folks come around and want things done but I just tell em to take a number and I will get there when I get there..Til then if they are in a rush well there are some others they can go to..

Thsi has been much more successful for me..

And avoids some of this..

My place of employment is in the process being bought out, just not knowing whats going to happen isn't very fun. So I go to garage work alittle on the delivery for therapy and stress relief.

It seems stupid. the busier I am the better I like it. I hate sitting around doing nothing but "relaxing". I get stressed out sitting there thinking of all the things I could be doing. It's not alway's doing things I don't wanna do either. Usually I have so many things I want to do, I stay pretty busy from 7am to 10pm bout everyday of the week. I usauly come in from the shop about 10 just to sit with my girl for a min. before bed

Kris, think you just ticked off 4 of the top ten stressor list. May be time to re prioritize your personal and business life while you still have one!!! Since this is a Mom and Pop, errr, Hubby and Wife business you are in, sounds like an implosion is in the near future!!!

Yeah, we dont plan on doing this forever. Every fall we take a nice long vacation, the past couple years it actually been down in your part of the country. Plus a bunch of little weekend trips in the spring and summer. We took on extra work this year to pay for some stuff in the new house and the new shop too.
