stripped stud

I have a stripped wheel stud on the front hub of my 49 chevy pick up.
(drum brakes) I never had to remove one and replace it.
What is the procedure to remove and replace it.

Help would be appreciated

Take a three lb. hammer and drive the bad one straight out the back side of the hub. Go to a "REAL" auto parts store and get a matching new stud. Insert from back side. Pull into place with a new, well lubed lug nut, with some washers to act as a bearing surface. Replace wheel.
