stripped torq converter bolt how to remove
as the title sez, stupid brass nuts from the torq to the flywheel are sooooo
soft and stripped the beotch using a 6 point socket Grrrr.
so what kinda tool is recomended for loosening this troublesome culprit ?
was thinking an offset vice although never seen one.
Try one of these. Irwin makes them, so does snap on and many others.
stripped torq converter bolt
but what do you use after it's stripped. was thinking there might be a biting wrench that grabs with tension. or an offset type vicegrip.
Doh never mind now that I zoomed in the pic I see it has some sort of biting edge. what are they called ?
They are bolt extractors, for stripped fasteners.
They bite harder as you crank on em, works well. I have 3 sets, different styles. All snap on.
