stripped torq converter bolt how to remove
as the title sez, stupid brass nuts from the torq to the flywheel are sooooo
soft and stripped the beotch using a 6 point socket Grrrr. so what kinda tool is recomended for loosening this troublesome culprit ? was thinking an offset vice although never seen one. Regards Rick |

Try one of these. Irwin makes them, so does snap on and many others.

but what do you use after it's stripped. was thinking there might be a biting wrench that grabs with tension. or an offset type vicegrip.

Doh never mind now that I zoomed in the pic I see it has some sort of biting edge. what are they called ?

They are bolt extractors, for stripped fasteners.
They bite harder as you crank on em, works well. I have 3 sets, different styles.All snap on. |
