stripping

I am restoring a 69 camaro. Turned out that it is much more rust infested than I first thought. I am looking at investing in a "soda blasting unit". I would be curious if anyone else has had any experience with this process. The unit that I am looking at it made by ACE. I found it in the Northern Tools catalog.

Thanks

i wouldnt really use it to blast your car,as they say to wash it off with water.thatll cause rust real fast.it would be best imo to have it media blated. perferably plastic media, as it creates less heat

once you have it blasted, i would spray it with a good epoxy primer, as most plastic fillers can be laid over epoxy

I own a soda blaster and the car will not rust when it is blasted yes you got to give it a wash with water and vinger but the car will be fine til you get ready to paint it. Soda is not like poly i did my whole car inside and out with 3 bags ..
