the best way of course is the most expensive- send them to a plater and they kind of reverse the plating process and remove plating, if it is good solid with no flaking or peeling sandblast it with course abrasive (the black stuff works well) and urethane primer it , otherwise its grinder and d.a. sander time to blend in the bad stuff.
