stroke 496 or 177 super charger???

Im try to figure out what would be the best way to go
would both get close to the same horsepower?
If i decide to go 496 the comp would be raised to 10:6 comp
plus the super charger is cheaper

I have a 468 chevy solid lift
3800lbs pannel van

roller rockers 1.7
9:1:1 comp.(stock flat tops)
th400
373 grears
roller timing
alum. heads #2214 /S622/2.25 1.88 (suports 675 horse)

What's your HP goal? With a big cubes I'd drop the compression some and cam it up, or a larger blower with 8 to 8.5 or so compression with a good blower cam. I think a 177 is to small. JMO

Cubes are nice, but I would rather be blown. I vote for a 6-71 or 8-71. That is a big motor for a small blower. Probably have to spin it like crazy to get a decent amount of boost.

I am not saying that those blowers are not good, they are great just small for a 468. My friend has one on a 327 and it screams.

Cam is a little long, blower is small but will be fine for 4-5psi. There are other superchargers that don't put a hole through your hood.

ProCharger, Vortech, ATI, or Paxton centrifugal superchargers, bolts on up front like an alternator does.
