Strongest motor mounts?
I'm thinking of putting a cummins into a older blazer and would need to fab up motor mounts. I was wondering if any one had any insigt as to which type of motor mounts were the strongest. I'm thinking of either going with the Spool type or the pad type. Either way, I would put 2 on each side.
There's potentially going to be upwards of 700 ft/lbs of torque, possibly more. Any suggestions? |

So you are looking to build your own mounts? Or modify existing mounts to work?
I build Urethane mounts for SHO taurus'. The SHO taurus eats factory motor mounts alive. I utilize the factory hardware, strip it clean of the factory rubber, and pour new mounts using the urethane. It is a product called Flexane, made by Devcon. Ive built upwards of 50 or so sets now, with some being in cars with north of 400whp. So far, no failure. This urethane is TOUGH stuff.
