Strut assembly

I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima SE 5speed V6. I was just wondering if I could use a used Arm that will replace my bearing strut and spring assembly and would it be a hard task to accomplish on my own being that I am a rookie mechanic?

I dont know exactly what you are talking about when you say arm.....

but if you are trying to do away with the struts and go to a spring and shock type suspention then....even tho anything is possible with enought time and money, you'd be going to a outdated setup, not to mention the costs of

installing upper and lower a arms

trying to install ball joint knurls in the spindle

and not to mention the fact that with a front wheel drive you would have to use a torsion bar setup....

Sorry.....I'm rambling....
