i am currently building a 55 chevy 2nd series so its dam close to yours, i measured just about every car out there . i work as a mechanic and have the oppurtunity to look at differnt cars on hoist all day long.Ive seen the nova and camaro clips put in theese trucks and there not that pretty. you want a nice look you use the front part of a 91 chevy caprice frame or any of that body style caprice they fit together nice and they dont have to be stacked . the diff between the car and truck is onlyabout 1 inch at the the cut point if i was better at import pics i would go out to my garage and take a pic for you its really worth the extra effort .plus you will end up with a truck with that real nice ride that the caprice was known for .oh ya the track track width is identical so you can score tons of parts of one car for your truck complete braking sys and rear end even a nice 5.7 tbi system if you find one in running condition good luck hope this help you
