You will have to measure but I have a '74 Nova clip in a '42 Chevy. By the time you rebuild the clip the cost savings are not much compared to a Mustang 2 setup unless you find a good clip.

tools ? Skills ?
What can you do yourself, do you have a welder, grinder, torch. a lot of time. Someone asked a couple days ago about a 36 olds. My son has one apart, a project he bought. We have looked at putting in a Jag XJ6 front and rear. We can get jags $ 100-125.. We pull. There is a lot of info on the HAMB abount doing Jag swaps. the 57 buick is very similar frame to ours-yours. search jaguar suspension swap. lots of info on the Web. with a jag you keep your frame, cut off the spring pockets, add flat plate and install the jag cross members.

Most of the common swaps with Camaro and Nova clips are two wide, you have to run very narrow wheels and tires or not lower it as much. So keep that in mind.

I didn't choose it, but on my 1939 F60, the shop used a front clip from a RWD 1988 Cutlass. The width seems correct and there is plenty of clearance at fender wells. After it was all together, I measured the wheel base and the front wheels were 1.5 inches back from the original position (wheelbase 113.5 inches).

I think the shop might have done this because the power steering pump just barely clears the front sheet metal. I would have rather had a small hump put into the front sheet metal below the bumper in order to keep the wheelbase.

John, I have seen that mistake because they didn't bring the front end down to ride height when setting it up.

They made two series in 1939 the 60 series, and the 80 series. 60 series needs a front end about 56" wide, 80 series can go to about 60" wide.

Most shops can make them pretty cheap if you can't.One of the probs with a 60 Falcon 2dr Wagon is almost everything has to be modded a little.I payed $150 to have mine made can't buy them for that and at Dearborn and Mac's you still have to have them modded
