This is the engine from a 2005 Subaru Forester Turbocharged. The Guy said he was driving home from out of town and his engine started making a noise, so he turned the radio up. He said he went for a ways but then it quit when he was trying to pass somebody.
Question is #1 : If your car starts making a noise do you pull over and check it out?
#2 : If it starts making noise ,do you pull over and call someone?
# 3 Do you drop the hammer and try to pass someone?
Just answer #1 #2 or #3 and elaborate if you wish.
I spent the bigger part of my week, assembling the new engine and stuffing all that garbage back under the hood. I am not sure I want to even give this JOKER a warranty. Sheesh.

Just turn up the radio and keep on drivin.
This guy just DESTROYED his engine because he was just to dam lazy to pull over and call for a wrecker, god he could have at least called a garage to ask them about what to do. I guess his cell phone weighs 10,000 pounds.
I think he drove 75 miles after dropping an exhaust valve. this is whats left.

I had a dodge colt once, put big *** speakers in it and was cruising down the highway jammin', passing everything in sight and when I came to a stop light, I thought to myself ,self, I don't remember this drum solo in this song.

Yeah , they got no brain and then dont have any money,but they have a newer car. They dont even know how to use all the features because they didnt even read the owners manual

All i can say is WOW. How did that happen. I think even a blond woman (figuratively speaking) is smarter than that guy. That thing must have just barely been running as it was.

Did you actually FIX that mess or put in a new engine? That cylinder wall looks trashed, would have needed a sleeve id say.

We managed to save the heads, but the block was broken in the bore, we got a short block from subaru $$$$, the only th ing left on the original short block was the crank, and with all that stress and shock it may have been twisted and or stress fractured. Being a turbo we opted to go with a short block. Man what a basket full of parts. And metal bits in everything.At least the turbo was OK.

I'm shocked anything was good after that. Id be afraid there would be metal shavings in any possible place that oil could get, including the head and turbo.

Did you have to take them apart and clean them all out?
