Not quite a "bone yard" Rob, it says at the bottom it is an Auto Shop.

Two things I don't understand and kind of contradict one another...

Quote:
The loss is not covered by the shop’s insurance, police said. The company is not responsible for the damages to the customers’ cars because customers signed a liability form before leaving the cars there, Mr. Rahaim said.
Quote:
The business will take a financial hit, but it will survive, he said.
It looks to me like the only hit that they will take is waiting on some more customers cars to come in and maybe any damage to the endloaders that may have been incured if the shop owned them. Other than that they walk away from any financial responsibility whatsoever. I can see signing a liability form but in a case like that, with a fenced in secured area, I would think the owners insurance should be partially responsible.

"The company had left the keys in there; Mr. Rahaim said he never expected someone to take advantage of that."

I wouldn't be surprised that the shop will be responsible, no keys, no start, no damage.

Yeah common ocourance to leave keys in heavy equiptment. My father a long time construction mechanic used to say you could walk on any site and find the keys to most equiptment under the mat or in the ignition. The idea that they wont get far with a slow moving piece of equiptment is valid, but you can do more than steel it as this article points out.

Yea Really didn't read the whole thing ...
& a John Deere key is a John Deere key .

Too bad they didn't video tape them selves doing it .

IF they were in Florida they would have!

My point is that no matter what .Stooges will find different ways to screw stuff up no matter how much idiot proofing you try to employ

I know If I had a shop & came in to find most everything smashed I be pissed

IMHO
