Suffix for sbc

Ok I posted a new thread yesterday but now I have updates! The suffix code of my sbc is T0521CKA with 13N174040. My casting number is 39700 4 the 1 is missing and I still do not know what it is. I am hoping it is a 350 and not the 305 any one have the answer. My heads are not stock so I cant get the numbers.

T = tonowanda. thats the plant it was cast in
05 = may
21 is the 21st

Small block casting date is located on driver side rear of block on flange forward of bellhousing. Big block on the right side of engine above the oil pan rails.
Casting Date Example: E038 - (E = Month, 03 = Day, 8 = Last digit of model year (1978)).

that should help out if my table shows up good on you screen lol. the link is a website with all SBC suffix codes. looks like you have a 75% chance of having a 350. good luck

75 % is good but not what I want to hear LOL. I already knew that. But the casting number is 39700 4, which matches a 350 but the 1 between the 0 and 4 are missing so does that make it 100% that it is a 350. I am trying to build my first muscle car and I DONT want a 305. I just dont feel like I would be doing my chevelle proud. Plus I intend on alot of engine work. As in new heads and possibly a turbo. For my personal satisfaction the 305 just dont cut it.

well i just looked up the casting numbers and the only thing that matches it is a 350. is it a 4bolt main? because as far as i know there are no 4 bolt main 305 blocks thats another way to tell. im guessing your gonna rip it apart anyway so you might as well start with the oil pan and take a peek. im positive it is a 350 now but thats just me. i hope your build goes well good luck to ya
