Post Suggestion for clutch.

Here is what the problem is. Currently I have a stock clutch from a nova (I think) which is connected to a
chevy 350 complete build 2k ago
edelbrock intake model number 3701
edelbrock 600 cfm carb
compression tested around 125 but we think the gauge wasn't connected correctly.
saginaw 4 speed
3.91 for rear gear

When I step on the gas in 4 gear the tach will shot up from 1.5 grand to about 2 or 3 grand more depending how much gas I had. Then once I let off the gas a little the truck will move and the tires are not burning. So I know the clutch is slipping.

Any suggestion where to buy a perforance clutch that can hold up.

With a basically stock motor like you described, I would figure you have a bad pressure plate or improper adjustment etc. I would think that a new clutch assembly (disc, throw out bearing and pressure plate) would work.
