Yeah, I put a 2001 seat in my 56' Chevy, its comfortable. I found the truck in a wrecking yard. The guy who owned the truck before had wrecked it in a head on collision. I asked the wrecker if i could take the seat, he said sure.
maybe you can go to a yard and find a 2001 truck that has been wrecked. they will probably let you take it. Johonivich

Each time I get in the mood to build a 50's chev, I use cadillac seats---gives you comfort and power if desired. Any big ol' Caddy seat will fit and look nice. I generally use late 70's to early 80's.

I agree the 80's caddy seats were nice(got one in my driver)easy to mount. Its not as wide as you would think. I used a set of 2001 regal seats the other day and they were real comfy but big bucks.
