I use steel wool or green scotch bright pad loosely packed in. You can also cut out the baffle and make one of your own. Sounds like the baffle may be holding oil. You may need to drill a hole in the bottom of the baffle so oil can escape.

There are also oil baffle grommets. Mr. Gasket makes them. Ther are designed for valve covers with no baffle. If you can't get the ones you have to work, you may want to ditch them all together and get the grommets. I am assuming you bought aluminum valve covers? If the are stamped steel then you may not be able to remove the baffle.

yes moroso sells a baffle that quite effective.
but youll have to drill 2 holes to mount it. also you can try a short lentgth of hose or pipe to get the pvc valve out of the valve cover altoghether. |
