Can someone help me. New to the whole hot rod thing and i have a 31 model a sedan. Wanna put a suicide front end on it but dont know where to start. I guess what i am asking is if people can give me a list of parts and some direction.

Most of these set ups consist of a spring pearch, spring, front axel with assicoated hardware for brakes and stability. You can buy a complete set up less the pearch from resources such as speedway motors. Look there, the front of the frame will require a frame section or modification of a cross member to be welded at the front or end of the frame. That pretty much sums it up.

Suicide Front End simply means the first point of contact in a head on crash, that takes out the front suspension.

Some additional information is needed. Are you going to run fenders? If not to put that type of suspension on an A frame
you will have to cut the frame off at the front of the front cross member. thus removing the frame horns.
do you want the spring behind the axel? tie rod behind or in front of the axel? what steering box are you going to use? what engine/trans ?

i dont know how to post pics on here. i found one on pete and jakes that i like. just dont know what to do with it. i do not want fenders at all. i wanna lower it and hope to channel the rear end and get a solid rear end instead of the independent i have in the back.

My buddy used a Speedway front end on his model A and had it chromed

that is how i want mine to look. what kind of rear end did he use?

He used a Heidts IRS - very expensive.
