It depends entirely on what kind of kit you get. The least expensive kits come with cast, rebuilder-style pistons that are decked .020". The more expensive kits have forged or hypereutectic pistons that are not decked. There are forged and hypereutectics available that are decked, but they aren't generally listed with kits. When I have customers like you with a specific needs, I build my own kit to their specifications. Perhaps there is a parts store or machine shop in your area that can give you personal attention.

Cool

Hey 78, do you know how to use a micrometer? Do you know a friend that does? If you are so impatient for an answer from the people at Summit, order your parts, have them measured with a micrometer, and if they are not correct, send the dang things back! Are you ever going to try to educate YOURSELF from actual EXPERIENCE! We learn from our mistakes. Why don't you do everybody a favor and just save up for a complete crate engine that comes with a warranty and everything else already done for you. I am not going to apologize for flaming you on this post because I just don't get the feeling that you are trying to learn from the answers posted. You are looking for the easy way out and just being told what is right or not. What you don't seem to realize is that most of the posts on this site are people's opinions.
Some are more educated than others to be sure.

HOTRODDING IS DOING FOR YOURSELF AND LEARNING AS YOU GO! If you aren't willing or able to do that stick to the bolt on stuff!
