summit digital ignition

hey guys
when i hooked up the box with my small block chevy w/hei the motor fired but, when i released the starter switch the motor dies! that is unless i hold it above 2000rpm. any ideas as to what is wrong?

It is recomended that you remove the internal HEI module. Trigger the Summit ignition box using the small wires from the HEI magnetic pick up. read the directions. Make sure the engine has a ground strap to the fire wall/body.
