Summit Racing 2k urethane primer surfacer

Has anyone used this before? If not could you take a guesstimate on the quality of it. I'm also curious about their clear, I put links to both at the bottom. Thanks so much

I have been told the Summit branded paint (Also Eastwood), primers, and clears are made by Kirker. I have never personally used those branded items, However, I have used Kirker products in the past and I never liked the Kirker urethanes for various reasons. They worked fine for some folks but I have had trouble of some kind almost everytime I've used it.

If you are looking for affordable refinishing materials with good quality there are other options out there like SPI and these guys, www.thecoatingstore.com. Valspar and Prospray also make some pretty good affordable stuff.

Thanks for the response. I would buy something better, but I just need to shoot this truck and I don't really wanna put too much money into it, and I don't really wanna wait long, and Summit Racing is less than 5 minutes away from me, so this is just the most convenient option.

Do you guys see any problems with laying the Summit/Kirker clear over Sherwin Williams color?

The only thing i have seen with some of the cheaper primers is that they dont go as far and are somewhat hard to drysand. If you are planning on wet blocking you shouldnt have a problem. As far as your clear question.....you shouldnt have a problem using the Summit Urethane clear over sherwin williams base coat.
