Summit Racing and Northern Auto Engine Cradles

Hi All,

I am shopping around for an engine cradle and came across this unit: SUM-910057 - Summit Racing® Roll-About Engine Cradles. The other one I am looking at is from Northern Auto: Wel-Bilt Engine Cradle — 1000-Lb. Capacity, Model# 012001-B.

They are the cheapest ones I've seen and I am concerned about the quality. I am wondering if any members have any experience with them, good or bad.

Thanks

They are probably all built by the same little ol' chinese guy, look on ebay and you'll probably find the same thing only a little cheaper. Any of them would work just fine.

Yeah , that's what I figured. Just don't want any casters falling off while moving the engine around. I'll give the Summit one a shot. Thanks Dave!

Thanks Bart!

There is somebody selling some new cradles locally on Craigslist that look just like the Summit/Northern units. I'm gonna check 'em out and see how strong they are. Otherwise I'll go for one of these two.
