Summit Saginaw shifter for bench seat Nova
I need a Saginaw shifter for my bench seat Nova. I want to use the factory style boot and boot ring. The problem with Hurst Saginaw installation kits is that they mount the shifter high up on the back of the trans. This means a huge hole needs to be cut in the tunnel and requires the use of a large Super Boot. I see Summit offers a 4 speed shifter that mounts low like a Muncie. Has anyone tried this shifter? I figure I can cut off the shifter handle (it doesn't appear to unbolt) and bolt in a suitable handle for the bench seat. Any thoughts?
