Sun scope & analyzers

I have recently acquired a Sun scope Model #1000 and am looking for information and parts for it. I also have a Sun 1120 analyzer that I have been trying to restore for some time now but cant seem to find anything on the web or even from my local Snap-on guy! While I'm at it I am also looking for a Sun distributor machine in good to excellant condition. Any help in these areas would be greatly appreciated. You guys are the greatest!!!

I don't know how old that scope is, but I'll tell my story anyway.
A while back I aquired an Allen scope, it was a model with a gas analyzer in it for smog checks, made in 74 or 75.

I tried to find parts for it, as it needed a PC board and the sensors in the gas analyzer were all clogged up. ( one too many double pumpers).
I was told that the Allen sales guys were told to get the old scopes on trade in, and dump them. Allen did not want any of the old technology out there. They obsoleted all of the replacement parts so you would have more incentive to buy a new scope.

I wonder if Sun did the same?

I would look around for an old school TV technician, those guys were pretty good at sorting out that stuff.

I know they aren't on every streetcorner anymore.

Maybe Docvette could help..

I eventually donated my scope to some out of work electrical engineer guy who said he'd fix it and sell it. I don't know if he did or not.

Later, mikey

Thanks, Mike, for the reply. My interest is not in selling them but to use them in my shop for some of this old iron that I work on. I am totally unfamiliar with the Model 1000 but I do have some information on the 1120. I was hoping somebody out there is in to restoring this type of equipment and could lead me in a direction where I could find operating instructions and parts,(like missing knobs and such) so that these machines could me made useful again. The search continues!
