Sun Tach Model CP-7915

I have a Sun Tach Model # CP-7915, will it work on my 1955 V-8 Buick Special, 264 cu in, 12 volt negative ground ? It has 4 wires coming out of the housing. Do I need any special attachments, and where does it hook up.?

Many tachs have a white wire for the light, a red wire for a switched 12v source, a black wire for ground and a green wire to go to the "-" side of the coil. Some tachs have a selector to set for the number of cylinders. Have you googled the tach part number?

Go here. This is for a CP-7914 but should be the same for your CP-7915.
