Sun tachometer batteries

I need 4 Sun tachometer batteries, part # is 1766-7, for the EB9A transmitter or a workable substitute. Are these batteries still available and, if so, where can I purchase them.?

Don't think you can get them anymore but you can substitute with AA batteries. http://www.roger-russell.com/jeffers/jefitgr.htm . Click the link and read the article it will help.
