car went 13.03 today @ 9 psi of boost launching off the footbrake. so close to breaking the 12's but this was a points race so he doesnt go all out with it to make it more consistent

13.0 is very good.

hurry up with those 12s,lol.
most V-8s here are not going that fast.I would be pleased with a 12 second pass on street tires

hes on a dot slick , so still technically a street tire but not really,he is going to a full slick soon this year though

this is from time trials

and then this is first round he dialed a 13.25 and he knew it was going to be faster once he launched so he got on the brakes and still broke out
this run would have been well into the 12's
13.14@85mph

kinda wish he just ran the run out , but i cant blame him it was a points race and he was trying to go rounds.

he needs to get more track time in so he can learn just how fast the car really is so he dont make any mistakes dialing it in for the rest of the season

when ever I ran brackets,I would change the dial in between rounds while lining up beside someone. It messes with their minds when you change a 12.0 to 13.3,,,
What I did was change it on the cool down return road then put it where it was supposed to be. They would think I was sand bagging and change their stage or dial in when in fact I was just correcting mine. I usually dialed a zero just under my best time,IE: 12.0 when I was running 12.05-12.1

cut those lights thin,I would rather red light than sleep. You force the other guy to run very close or under if you cut a good light...lots of competitors dial soft and hope to hit the brakes

he ran a 13.03 and 13.22 in time trials, the wind picked up for first round so he dialed the 13.25 thinking the car would slow down just a tad.

hes usually within .05 on his dial but this was the second outing with the new turbo/trans and rear gears so he has to dial the whole combo in still

last year he bested 13.3 @ 18 psi
im willing ot bet that first round loss would have been a solid 12.75-12.85 pass if he didnt get on the brakes

im sure by the end of the season we will see some 12.0's to 12.2's out of the car

any 12 second car is respectable. Using a 6 is even more fun

got video of that 13.1@85, with as hard as he nailed those brakes i think he would have done a 12.70 or better

watch in hd and full screen to get an idea of just how hard he hits those brakes

Love the junkyard turbo builds! Stop messin around and crank that boost up! I fart harder than 9psi!

Do they have e85 in your area? All my turbo cars love it. Costs a little to upgrade the fuel system but it's more than worth it. On e85 my little 3.8 with very similar mods (basically stock) went 10.0 @ 137mph with a 66mm turbo at 30psi. I run 34psi on the daily driver 4 banger. Trapped 124 with it last time out.. I think you can lean on that sucker much harder!

he is gun shy of it cause of the broken piston/ringland last year , hes a points racer and to stay in his class he cant run faster then 12.50

so far this year its running faster @ 9 psi then it did last year @ 17 psi

once he gets over his fear of hurting it again theres no reason he cant run 21 psi on pump gas , if he could make the switch to e85 and real high boost that thing would be down right fast

planned mods after this race season is a th350 transbrake swap which alone should make that thing alot faster
