so far this year its running faster @ 9 psi then it did last year @ 17 psi

once he gets over his fear of hurting it again theres no reason he cant run 21 psi on pump gas , if he could make the switch to e85 and real high boost that thing would be down right fast

planned mods after this race season is a th350 transbrake swap which alone should make that thing alot faster

Whats it weigh? If its not to piggy I'd throw a P-glide with a brake on it instead. So much simpler and cheaper to rebuild. Eats less power, weighs less, and Turbo cars love the added load from the 2 speed.

That doesnt' sound right. With a half tank of gas my Iroc T-top weighed 3340 with all the AC power steering etc on the moroso scales. I'd bet that one is a bit less. You may be suprised if you put it on the scales. The GVW on the title is never even close in my experiance. Pleanty light for a glide anyway.

its close mine is 3455 with me in it on the track scales im 200 pounds
my buddies stock v6 car is 3080
and another friends is 3120

there only about 150-200 pounds lighter then the v8 version depending on if they have power everything or not

a base model v6 should come in around 3000

Huh I didn't know that. I figured the T-top option would make the car much heavier. What kind of converter is he planning on? What kinda RPMs does it typically see? Friend just bought a pretty nice old Berlinetta with a v6 (2.8 i think). Trying to get him to toss a turbo on it.

right now hes running the s10 high stall converter 120 bucks from az , its slips alot so he is wasting alot of power , supposed to stall at 2,400 but its stalling up around 3,500

hes crossing the stripe around 5,500 iirc ill have to check the datalogs to be sure

with my engine i spin up to 7,500 rpms but i had the whole rotating assembly lightened and balanced to spin that high

btw if u can talk ur friend into turboing it my friend has his original turbo system still that he would sell cheap, u could bolt it on in an afternoon

is his berlineta carbed or fuel injected?, if its carbed the carbed engines have crappier heads and small journals on the crank. the carbed engines are known for breaking crankshafts bone stock

Is the car laying down on the top end or is it just like that with small engines?8.2,, 1/8 was thinking 12.5 ,,1/4?
I just figured the turbo would have more top end charge?
