is there a way you could add roll bars with out making the interior look like a jungle gym. Like put them behind the paneling and upholstery.

THe SFC's are a must!!! With any Fbody V8 car, even more so in a Ttop car. With to much torque you can twist the car.

If you have a 3.8ltr do what im doing and get a turbo kit for $3500 if u got the $$$ and that can give you close to 300whp safely on your stock engine. If you want to get a V8 sell your V6 and get a newer Z28 or SS. You'll be suprised at what they can do.

Dreadlord dowhat you wanna do with it it's your car.
But heres what I would do casue when I was 16 I was piss poor broke.I would find an old truck or car with a 350/th350 pull it or get the motor tranny from the paper.I refer the car cause your get all the BS arts like distributor, linkage etc... Stick in a mild cam and new oil pump and the usualy exterior junk like headers intake etc..
If this is your first car going from a 2.8 V6 to a boneyard SBC w/a little work will be an awesome jump.
Swapping in a SBC will require many things like installing new front springs and realligning the car due to the heavyier motor.Headers(or manifolds)and new exhuast.V8 fan shroud, differant linkages, distributor it can go forever. You'll prolly evan need a better more beefy tranny(TH2004r IMO SUCK!!)yours might hold for a while but chances are its tired if its got miles.
So befor you sink $$ into a blower etc...rememer thereis allot more involved that just sticking a motor together and dropping it in.

The first big question is what year is your car.
