supra vs pinto

ok i am getting a pinto putting a 351 windsor in it, GT 40 heads, cam to match heads, forged flat top pistons, four barrel intake, and a c4 transmission. Well my friend has a supra twin turbo stock and i was wondering who would win me or him?

You'll need a good rearend and the suspension setup so that the little Pinto hooks hard! You'll win EASY!! If you lose, don't come 'round here no more!! Understand??

If hes got 900 horses there's no way you could beat him. You need more like 1300 for it to be a close race, but since hes got twin turbos your definitely going to have to have triple turbos or quadruple turbos if you really want to smoke him.

In all seriousness here's some 1/4 mile times for a stock 95 Supra twin turbo. Guys runin high 13's. With the setup you listed you wouldn't have much trouble beating your friend at the track. http://neon.atsweb.net/supra/stock_supra.html

dang he would smoke me, yeah i read that after posting this and i dont know how to get rid of it... and or move it to another questions, but see the reason i kinda thought itd be an engine question was because i did kinda wanna get ome suggestions on how i would have to set my engine up to beat him... so i was just wondering. But yeah thanks for the responses from the people who accually gave them. Also like did you mean id need 1300 HP and quadrouple turbos? or i would need quad turbos now to beat a 900 HP one? Like what kind of stuff could i do to make mine smoke his? supercharge or turbo? cause as you probably can figure i have not much room around the engine. Its gonna be hard to even fit a turbo in musless quad turbos. thanks
Justin

Sees what he wants to see......hears what he wants to hear......

Maybe those Quad turbos will fit in the back seat.

I say ditch the back seat and convert the pinto to rear engine. Put a fuel cell and battery in the old engine compartment in the front, maybe some lead ballast as well.

I'd go for a full roll cage, tub the rear and go for a big block - maybe like a 502"... then stick a blower on it and mount a huuge scoop on the roof to feed plenty of air to that beast. While you're at it go for a 200-300 shot of NO2. Guess you'll need a new firewall behind the driver.

Yeah, rear engine rear drive Pinto with a blwon big block and NO2 - that will definitely roast a Supra.

ps: Have your friend to post a dyno or time slip to back up that 900 hp. What's he running, like high 9's / low 10's? Must be a sweet Supra...

I think you should just go with twin turbos, but look for an old Turbonique setup from the mid 60's. There hard to find but with one of those no one in your whole state will be able to beat your Pinto.

Yeah but man that whole rear engine thing is almost impossible i dont have that kind of money but i will keep it in mind when i get a job lol. the twin turbos... where to put them im only gonna hve an inch on each side under the hood, i could put them in the back but how to run them to the front?> lol tell me all you know im interested

This site will help explain what Turbonique is, after reading about it you'll see I was only joking about putting one on your car. http://www.almar.easynet.be/turbonique.htm

a stock Supra will not beat you in the 1/4mile. the gear ratios are a lot higher and make a lot less power than people think. you need a four link or ladder bar in the back of that pinto. and tub it.
