Sure grips

I have a 1/2 ton dodge 100 short bed 318 727trans but i dont know what i have for gears and axles. Can you guru's tell me some #'s if possible or where i can find the #'s. And if its not an 8 3/4 suregrip where can i find one? Will the jy's have them what vehicles should i look under. Who rebuilds the suregrip asembly so it works proper. ANY AND ALL INFO IS AWSOME!

I only show without another search, the following ratios available.
2.71, 2.94, 3.21, 3.55, 3.90, 3.91, 4.10, 4.56[/color]


For identification purposes here are the stock axles a 79 Dodge truck came with.

CHRY 8.25" REAR AXLE - 27 SPLINE

(STANDARD-pinion) REAR
Number of cover bolts: 10
Number of axle splines: 27
Diameter of ring gear: 8.25"
Number of ring gear bolts: 10
Pinion Shaft Diameter: 1.625"
Pinion Splines : 27
Low Case Ratio :

CHRY 9.25" REAR AXLE

(STANDARD-pinion) REAR
Number of cover bolts: 12
Number of axle splines: 31
Diameter of ring gear: 9.25"
Number of ring gear bolts: 12
