surface Rust?

Before anyone says it I know I shouldn't have but I did
I sanded my car down to bare metal and left it outside, although covered, I knew I was going to get surface rust but didn't know it was going to be this hard to remove. I sanded with 60grit with an orbital sander and still have some ruct imbedded in the metal can I and if so what chemical can I use to remove the rust or do I have to keep sanding till I get it all off? Hope I got the pics in here

Thanks for any help guys
Kevin

rusty

Looks ok but pics dont show all sometimes.
Go to your local paint supply and get a rust inhibitor. just follow directions on neutralizing and blow it out in all seams and cracks.

Why couldn't you just wet it with phosphoric acid for about a 1/2 hour, let flash, then sand with 36 grit and wipe clean and spray with epoxy primer

Grape is right on track... ... Since it's wet from useing Ajax and water to flush away oils,.grease, wax, silicon, wax and grease remover residue ect,,ect, ... while it's wet with the rinse water...spray on some Rust-mort and let set a few minutes then rinse again ... ...blow dry for the next process ,
