surplus site

Military surplus site Might have some parts that could be used for hotrods. The CLARK TRUCK site has door etc that might be useful when building a rod from scratch.

It truly amazes me what some guys will call a hotrod.

The Clark truck site has army trucks. Not hot rods by any stretch of the imagination.

Let me guess, this is a roadster pickup, right?

Later, mikey

Man, you could make the hot rod from hell outa' that! It might not be the fastest thing on the road, but don't get in his way!

You guys crack me up...
Ok I guess I'll go eat some brownies for breakfast and then I too can see that 24 thousand pound, 50 MPH top speed, stinky deeeezul powered behemouth as a hot rod.....

I can't say I wouldn't like to have one, a few of those will come in real handy when the revolution starts. A few nights in the garage with the welder and some 3/4" steel plate, a trip the the ammo shop then the liquer store for some liquid refreshments and I could find it real easy to get my 15 minutes of fame by driving through the front wall of my local city hall...( I doubt that they'll renew my business license after that, but oh well)

Go drive one of those monsters around some time...the term "hot rod" will be the furthest thing from your mind.

Later, mikey

Its even got the ugly flat finish that seems to be pretty popular. Hopefully it has brakes.

All I could find on the clark truck site was ...trucks.

So I had some fun

So ya want some latches?

Here is a place that has some hardware.

They used to be called Austin hardware.

http://www.allegiscorp.com/jsp/products.jsp?cat=all

Do you want a rotary latch?

http://www.allegiscorp.com/SearchCat...Rotary+Latches

they have 38 different types, with most of them being made in U.S.A.

Here is one of the good thingsabout that place, they give a dimension or 2 along with the description...this is a typical page..

They do have a minimum order, but if you find something you like there is a place you can call and maybe get an order piggybacked in.

Tacos? That's all?

That thing is big as a barn.

I see it hauling tacos, burritos, cuchi-fritos, chicharones, a whole platoon of taco ladies to cook em, the stove to cook em on, the farm with the tortilla trees, the pigfarm to grow the little puercos on and there'd still be room for a case of Corona!!

Should I round up another picture of taco lady to complete the visual?

I think this thread needs more cow-bell.
