Post Suspension/brake issues arising from putting a bigblock into Chevy Nova

Are there going to be problems? I expect to have to beef up the springs in the front at least. Will the added 900lbs of engine and transmission require upgrading to more effective brakes?

It is always a good idea to upgrade suspension to handle the added power and weight.

Where did you get the 900 lbs figure? A 454 and a turbo 400 does not weigh 900 lbs.

The added weight over a small block would be in the neighborhood of 200-250 lbs. You will need to flip the heater core too for heater hose clearance. See photo here:http://www.pe.net/~jroberts/Nova_engine_2.jpg

:p :p
