Suspension Ideas?

I am looking for ideas for my suspension. I wish to lower it and have Street Legal Racing Slicks on the back, so room is needed. I plan to just use Mustang front end but I have no clue where to order them or how much they cost.

I have not the slightest idea what to use for a rear axel. I dont even know any company's that make them. That is how desperate I am.

What do you suggest for tires, lowering kits and a rear axel?

Please, PLEASE help becuase i would like to know everything i am going to use before the purchase of my car.

Hot-rod-kid,
I think it is great that you are getting started on your "street racer" but I think you have the cart before the horse.
First you would want to pick the car or truck and then select the running gear and paint and well you get the idea.
I do know of a few companies that will make anything you want if you have the money but it sounds like you want to go to the nearest salvage yard and pick out the items you need. In some cases you can do that, but for a pure racer like you want to build you will need to have the parts made and then installed.
Since you are young you will need to get into a welding class and an auto class and maybe a drafting class so you can do some if not all the work yourself. If you don't do the work yourself then you will be paying someone else to do your projects. Most of the fun in these projects is in the bragging rights of what YOU didn't have to pay to get done.
Remember that the more popular the vehicle the more after market parts that will out there at a reasonable cost. In other words if you want to make a Chevy go fast there are parts EVERYWHERE, but if you want to make a Saturn into a screamer you will have a tough time finding parts.
Have Fun

Thanks for the feedback! I am curently in an Explorers 'Auto Mechanics' class where we do auto repair, bodywork and diagnostics all on a 69 Mustang we got out of a salvage yard. I have asked that we chop it but thats not in the plan book soon. When we are all done with the 'Stang we are going to donate it to the Salvation Army. I plan to take metalwork and more Mechanics classes next year and I have drafting next quarter.

I am way ahead of myself, I know that but i just cant wait to get out on the roads and show off my car. I got the ant's in my pants and the RidX aint working(plus it gives a terrible rash, but we dont wanna go there ).
