Suspension options for 41 ford coupe

Good evening to all ! What are others experiences with their choice of suspension for early fords. I can go the obvious proven mustang II route ie. new cross member and new or used IFS . Alternately I have heard of using the suspension-steering unit from a mid 80's dodge diplomat ( the complete unit is removed from donor car by undoing 4 bolts and I have been told that it is easily adapted to the existing ford frame (after boxing it in). Has anyone with a 41 coupe done this ? The dodges were fairly heavy cars so this unit should be fairly robust although it may not look as 'pretty' as the mustang II. If a well cared for dodge could be located a person could even use the engine/tranny as well. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks !

I have not done one. But, I saw one done with the MoPar clip and it sat way too high for my tastes. The Must II kits are about the easiest/best way to go. Use Granada rotors (three of my own cars, 46-48 coupes). Also did a 48 B-Coupe with a Camaro/Firebird front clip. Looked good. Exhaust was a headache and getting the correct "soft" springs.
