hey guy's, i have a 406(490hp-520ftlbs)that i am putting in a 78'datsun 260z. i am going to backhalf the car,i'm going to use a 9" ford rear.but i can't decide on which suspension would work best for me,the ladder bar setup or a 4-link.if anyone could help me out alittle with this and/or has any parts for this buildup the info would be greatly appreciated...thanks

gofastwitme: A lot depends on what you are going to do with the car, If its going to be street driven then I would put in 4 bar suspension and coil overs, if a strip car then 4 link for the most adjustments and ladder bars for the least amount of adjustments. ladder bars are alittle stiffer on the ride also. I think coil overs are the most adjustable but you do have to have some type of panard bar or watts link. Leaf springs are the easiest....GlennK

in all respect of standard us made rear suspension i have to say that its not the best for roadholding in corners, id install a rearsuspension from conccours west 360-274-3373 its a jaguar based IRS setup you can order in any track width, or go the cheap way and install a complete IRS from a later model toyota supra, its a bolt in deal that installs using four bolts.
